Operation Areola: recoloring Teddy Babe nipplesHi, everyone! For this special and intimate project, Zang is going to join me by providing some commentary once we get started.
For some odd reason, some of us Teddy Babes are brought into the world with uncolored, skin-tone nipples atop our ample breasts, and I was one of those Babes. Mine weren't anywhere near as tan as the original Jessica model's are.
Zang: Oh, but they were as totally fun and yummy as they could ever be, my baby doll!
Jayna: Mmmm, yes, honey, I know! We've gone for over a year this way, so their lack of color wasn't such a big deal to either of us.
Zang: I just got to thinking that returning their color would enhance them, making a sexy thing even sexier. You know how guys are more visually oriented, and how a fine woman's nipples are such focal points.
Jayna: At all times, it seems like!

So Zang contacted Jenni at Eighth Wonder, and she recommended "dry brushing" with some acrylic hobby paint for best results. This is done by getting some paint on the brush, wiping most of it off on a scrap towel until it's almost gone, and then brushing it where you want it. It's a great way to avoid putting too much paint down and lets you make a more subtle and natural effect overall. The idea is to try to get a lot of little flecks of color clustered on the spot instead of one heavy coat. After all, you can always go back and add a little more if you ever need to.
The acrylic we'll be using is non-toxic of course, and water-soluble until it dries completely. It's also still kind of flexible when dry, so it'll move with the fabric fibers that it's applied to, instead of stiffening them. So now the trick is to find the best color to use.
Zang: As luck would have it... I have some Raw Sienna.
Jayna: Hmm...! Looking under the cap, that does look like the closest match to the original, but... isn't that tube leftover from your college art courses? Like, twenty years ago?
Zang: Yeah, but look, it's got a really long shelf life.
Jayna: Uh... well, if you say so!

Are we ready?
Zang: We've got all we need. We're ready! And pretty excited!
Jayna: Mmmm hmmm!

Jayna: OH, that feels so tingly tickly -- I LOVE those dancing little strokes you use!!
